What up doe? Welcome to another week of Howlin & Prowlin with Wolfman Black. We had the pleasures of the co star of The Game Done Changed, owner and operator of Overflow Furnishing and business guru Ms. Charlene Williams on The Order Radio A few weeks ago. We discussed issues of being a woman in business in a world that is still dominated by men. She also told the world what it was like working on the set of The Game Done Changed. KBiz talked about discrimination of all types including women in the workforce. Mike Dogg asked why the hell do women want equality on the job but expect chivalry after work? The Wolf gave his opinion working women. Ms. Charlene states that it was very rough for her breaking into the furniture business but through hard work and perseverance she gained the respect of her peers as well as her competitors. Although she admits that being in business for yourself is a daily struggle, she wouldn’t trade it for the world. Charlene has also acted in a few stage plays. Ms. Tasha asked her if it was a huge difference making the transition from theater to film. This talented young lady says it was a piece of cake. KBiz touch on the subject of discrimination which is a very concerning issue to her. Discrimination is not exclusive to race but gender, religion, sexual preference, social and economic status and criminal record. We all came to the conclusion that it is something that will probably never change. Charlene answered Mike Dogg’s question on why ladies want equal treatment and benefits on the job but still want to be considered and treated like a lady. She states that being financially independent doesn’t mean they are taking over the role as a man and should not be treated as such. Unfortunately it has not been that way for her. She has had difficulty with relationships. Most men hold her as unapproachable and are intimidated by her business savvy. She says that she is the most humble and down to earth person on earth. So The Wolf recommends that all the fellows out there stop acting like pussies and holla at is beautiful intelligent young lady. The Wolf also stated that he thinks discrimination is often used as an excuse for being lazy. Mr. Wolf feels that he pretty much fits every minority category yet does not let that hinder his ambition. Being a felon himself, The Wolf agrees that being tagged with this label prevents a person from a lot of job opportunities. But there is now restrictions on being an entrepreneur. If they won’t give us a chance then we gotta take our chance by exploring your inner talents. Trust The Wolf, you’ll be surprised with the things you can do. We closed out with The Wolf giving us...

Relationships part II – If it’s over, it’s OVER! Move on!

Posted by on Apr 11, 2013 in Blog

Hello and welcome to another week of Howlin and Prowlin with Wolfman Black. It would seem as if spring is finally here. The sun is out along with the insects, police, people on bikes and all the other things that may aggravate a werewolf. As you can tell I really hate to see winter go. But on a brighter note, The Wolf was in attendance for last Friday’s Order Radio show. The highlights were on relationships. We spoke on all kinds…parent/child, male/female, business/ personal. Also we spoke on suicide and the signs that can be recognized. Also we pleaded with parents to slow down and pay more attention to their children. Moreover, we talked about parents being parents instead of friends. Also, a challenge to walk away from temptations this week. Lastly, we discussed how you know when your relationship is over. On the suicide we said to those who have contemplated or attempted, know that someone does care. Call into The Order Radio and talk to one or all of our host. You can remain completely anonymous. No matter how bad life gets, there is always tomorrow. Since none of us can predict the future then we have no way of knowing the blessings that are waiting for us in days to come. There was actually a point in time where The Wolf wanted  to end his existence. I felt as if my life was a waste and this world had nothing to offer me but pain and grief. Living in poverty and being reminded of things I don’t have every time I turned on the radio or television only made matters worse. The only thing that prevented me from attempting suicide was the fear of not succeeding and making matters worse. Well needless to say I’m certainly glad that I never attempted it because my life is perfect now. The life I live now is better then any dream I could’ve had during my depressed stage. So in short don’t give up before you get your blessings. As far as knowing when a relationship is over all depends on the individual who doesn’t want to be in a relationship and the other party who sees the signs but still insists on living in denial. Relationships are over when you’re never together or your mate is always with someone else. If there’s no sex…it’s over. If resentment has set in…its over. The Wolf suggest that if you are seeing any of they above signs, cut your loses and move on. Life is to short to be unhappy. Business  and personal relationship do not mix. If you are romantically involved with a person don’t try to bring them into your business. Business issues will spill over into your personal life and destroy your relationship. On the flip side, having to work with the person that you just ended a...
